2008 Upcoming Initiatives

For 2008, the CRA has laid out several new initiatives that will guide its mission for the coming months.

One initiative is to negotiate and complete a development agreement with CRA master developer Amera for the remaining three corners of Downtown Coral Springs. Along with this will come finalizing of Phase II projects for the next corner slated for redevelopment, which could be the northwest corner.

The CRA also plans to continue its Facade Improvement Program with two more businesses taking advantage of these matching grant funds to improve their external infrastructure.

Residents will notice demolition of an old, vacant bank drive-thru that is on CRA property near City Hall South. That City Hall South building also will be platted, along with other CRA-owned property in the southwest quadrant.

The web site redesign is another 2008 initiative for the CRA. Here, site visitors can find fresh, updated content about where the CRA has been and where it's heading.
