Facade Improvement ProgramThe Facade Improvement Program is a joint venture between the City of Coral Springs and the Community Redevelopment Agency to help subsidize aesthetic improvements to certain aging commercial properties. The City provides matching grant funds of 50 percent up to $40,000 to businesses on both sides of Sample Road stretching west of Coral Hills Drive and east of the canal adjacent to N.W. 99th Way - all part of the Community Redevelopment Area. Facades larger than 100 feet are eligible to receive an additional $10,000 for improvements. Money comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant program. Funding only can be used for exterior work that faces a public roadway, including reconstruction or redesign of the existing facade, new lighting, awnings, signage and painting. |
