The City of Coral Springs, Florida, is well known as one of the most successfully planned suburban communities in the country. Incorporated in 1963, the diversity character and quality of the City's housing stock is remarkable; and the general attributes of the City, including schools, parks, economic development and fiscal integrity, are enviable.

In 1997, Coral Springs was the first public entity in Florida to win the Governor's Sterling Award for Quality and Performance Excellence.

The City has also received Wall Street's highest mark of distinction, earning AAA credit ratings on both its General Obligation Bonds and its Water and Sewer Bond Series.
